Our military full mission F4 Phantom fighter jet simulator was built for the UK Royal Air Force (RAF) by Ferranti Systems, using the cockpit section of a once operational flying aircraft. The instrument displays are identical in every detail to the real aircraft. The simulator is fitted with two Martin Baker ejection seats.
The F4 Phantom fighter jet simulator is mounted on a hydraulic motion system to provide appropriate sensations felt by the pilot. This combined with incredibly realistic day and night visual system, runway lighting and variable cloud levels, makes it hard to believe that you are not flying the real aircraft!
During your time with us you will have the opportunity to wear genuine Royal Air Force issue flying suit, flying gloves, Mae West life preserver and flying helmet (bone dome).
Our fantastic military themed briefing room also has two further F4 ejection seats on hand that will certainly keep you entertained during your time with us! Your flight simulator experience session is flown from the front cockpit, with your instructor on hand to guide you through this unique experience.
Britain’s Royal Air Force became an F4J operator from August 1984 when the first of 15 second hand aircraft was delivered. These aircraft were designated F4J (UK) Phantoms. They incorporated a small amount of British equipment, the most significant of which was the Skyflash air-to-air missile.
The F4 Phantom is still used by Air Forces throughout the world.
